This Friday is the option expiration date for SEPTEMBER 2024.
For Short-Term Options Investing (OB KT), we have received net premiums of:
+/+ €118.
This would mean a monthly return of:
+/+ 1.57%, based on a required capital of €7,500.
However, if you assume the actual capital requirement of €6,300 required by MEXEM in connection with the margin requirement for the short strangle on the AEX index, the monthly return is:
+/+ 1.87%.
As you know, to be on the safe side, I am continuing to calculate with a required capital of €7,500 and am using method 2 as the basis for calculating the return. There are still positions open, so the final result will not be known until Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
A brief history:
This is the 54th month that I have been investing with a capital of €7,500. In addition, I have used an investment strategy with a capital of €20,000 for 39 months and €15,000 for 32 months. This means that I now have a track record of a total of 125 months with the current investment strategy.
If this month ends positively, the total result will be as follows:
107 months ended with a profit
18 months ended with a loss
The total result to date over 53 months is:
€3,251, which amounts to an average of €61.34 per month, or +0.82% per month.
What am I most proud of? We achieved a track record of 29 months of consecutive monthly profits, from April 2020 to September 2022. This positive track record was followed by another 16 months of profits, until February 2024, when we ended up with a loss.
Despite the crash in August 2024, we continue to work on building a new profitable track record. We are already well on our way, with excellent results in March, April, May, June, and July.
On Friday afternoon, you will receive an email with the final investment results, including a report on the past trading month.
The goal remains to achieve a return of at least 1% per month (or €75 per month) on a capital of €7,500, which amounts to 12% on an annual basis, regardless of the sometimes significant fluctuations on the stock market.
