Dear investors,
UPDATE DECEMBER 2025 RVM SYSTEMS:
December was a good month for the AEX, with a gain of +0.84%.
For December, the figures for the RVM systems were: RVM Strategy +1.14%; RVM Retirement +1.12%.
This marks the sixth consecutive month that the systems have set new all-time highs.
THE MARKET IN DECEMBER: RELATIVELY QUIET
We had a relatively quiet month in December, which was very pleasant. The only thing that complicated position selection was the large number of closed trading days. This meant that position selection had to be organized slightly differently in the RVM systems. This went very smoothly.
WHAT ARE THE OUTLOOKS FOR 2026?
We still have higher price targets for the AEX, and therefore still expect that these will be achieved sooner or later.
The same applies to other markets, such as the US. We are also maintaining a higher price target for the S&P 500.
The complication here is that the dollar has fallen significantly against the euro in 2025, and looking at the EUR/USD chart, our impression is that this trend could continue in 2026. This is obviously not favorable for investors in the eurozone. We also believe we are seeing a shift of funds from dollar-related investments to investments in euros.
However, as mentioned, we have also calculated higher price targets for the US, and for the time being, we are cautiously optimistic about 2026, including in the US.
However, if the higher price targets are achieved, our basic idea will change. We anticipate significant interim market declines in 2026. We will certainly be alert in advance if prices are much higher in 2026 without such a decline having already occurred.
But as always, we follow our algorithm, whether we are going to see a good or a bad market.
